Do you guys think Scott will speak any Japanese in this movie? From what I'm seeing I'm getting the feeling Casey(Scott's character) and Namiko will speak 100% English, Casey and Masazuka will likely speak 100% English as well, and with Namiko and Masazika maybe speaking a mix of Japanese and English.

But it seems Sensei of the Dojo speaks 100% Japanese, so I wonder whether Casey will have any conversations with him in Japanese (It would be cool to see them converse in Japanese maybe in the part when sensei asks Casey to take the Yoroi Bitsu to New York?)

I'm a bit tired of characters speaking 100% English only - if they are making a Ninja film some conversations should be in Japanese. Ninja films below are the examples:

Ninja assasins
Although not enough footage was shown except a trailer and the few exclusive clips, it seems all the Ninjas here speak English. One can only hope that they have some Japanese fighting parts.

GI Joe Rise of the Cobra
2 Ninjas Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow appears, and Snake Eyes doesn't speak (which was good considering that Ray Park has such a high pitched voice), and Storm Shadow, played by Lee Byung Hun speaks 100% English. I liked Storm Shadow but what made the movie a bit awkward was the flashback scene between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow(which is played by 2 child actors).
There's a part where child Storm shadow says "He's Stealing!" The movie shows sub in English, but the language that child actor speaks is clearly Korean (I'm Korean by the way, if you didn't know). I guess most people wouldn't know the difference between Korean and Japanese (unless you're Korean that is! And Storm Shadow is clearly a Japanese character in GI Joe comics, cartoons etc), but that line made the movie a bit awkward for me.

Well Scott does say "Hai!" loudly when sensei describes both Casey's and Masazuka's attributes in the behind the scenes(but then again so does Masazuka  ). Hai just means simple Yes in Japanese (I know that because I used to study Japanese a little, but forgot almost everything except very simlple sentences)

As for GI Joe, I think the only reason that I watched it was because it had Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow (the only characters that I like in the whole franchise because I love Ninjas in general - I guess Baroness and Scarlett are exceptions because they are HOT :D ). I think it was only watchable for me due to them in it (and I did roll my eyes when I saw the "Korean Line" by Young storm shadow - I'm Korean but come on!)
