That ninja suit in the pictures looks horrible and cheesey. After seeing those pictures i am much more stoked to see Ninja Assassin starring the one and only Sho Kosugi.

ur entitled to your opinion but id rather wait to see the films. i think in comparison we can be sure Scott's Ninja will wipe the floor in the fight scenes with Ninja Assasin.

Flexcompus, allow me to state my opinions on both the films. No matter how cheesy the suit may look to u, bottomline NINJA will be the superior action film over Ninja Assassin and here's why i say this

NOTE: I will compare both films overall how they're made and constructed not including the story/plot.

About NINJA Assassin

Now from what i know about this film from doing research and by using pure common sense here is why i'm not all that thrilled about ninja assassins as i am about NINJA.

* Their are various fighting styles in the film including kung fu and tai chi. I know film is film and it sounds like a cool idea but thats a little far-fetched for a ninja movie, what real ninja would know kung fu or tai chi? If anybody knows about ninjas they fight in the japanese arts such as ninjitsu or maybe karate, not chinese kung fu so thats unrealistic.

* The Leading actor in the film is korean pop singer/actor Rain. I know that every actor has to start somewhere in the movie business but the guy has only done 2 or 3 films and he simply doesnt have enough experience to front a huge movie like this so i'm rather suprised that the wacsowski brothers would take a chance on him for this kind of film. Plus he has no background in the martial arts, he trains for a couple of months to make himself look like he could fight, which is a fashion that both hollywood and hong kong industry does too much, which is why they need to start hiring actors who could actually fight so its more believable. Nowadays people can tell by just watching different movies who can really fight and who cant.

*I dont know 100% but i wouldnt doubt that Rain and sho kosugi would be aquired to use lots of wires and cgi since this is a wascowski brothers film and i dont know about you but i'm kinda tired of seeing people flying around and i hate cgi when its being used as a substitue for an actor/actress for
a type of film like this.

*Although I liked speedracer, it was rather low in office box revenue for a wascowski brother film so i doubt Ninja Assassins will do any better.

*The only things I see pretty much going for this film is the fact that names like Sho Kosugi and wascowski brothers are attached to the film.

About NINJA

I know this film wont be so perfect but i just know this film will be the better ninja film and here are a few reasons why.

*The Obvious, scott adkins is the star of it. Unlike rain, scott has played in a number of films both in acting and action so he has the experience to front a film. Plus he has a solid martial arts background, he has great physical abilities to do very flashy moves to add more excitement to the action sequences, he doesnt use wires or any cgi at all
and overall scott can act.

*This Movie will portray the ninja in a more realistic light as i can imagine in comparisons to the other ninja film which would mean no flying around, no smoke bombs and then disappear into thin air.

* The Fighting style in the film is a classic japanese art called bojutsu which is closer to the true ninja.

*Their will be top quality fight choreography, which i can assure you that these fight scenes will be more crisp and smoother than Ninja Assassins.

Well their you have it. Of Course I havent seen either film so I will hold the rest of my judgement after i've seen both but I wont be paying for a ticket to see ninja assassins (unless someone else pays for my ticket lol.) I can wait for it to be released on dvd/blu ray but i would definitely pay to go see NINJA in theaters :)

I wont compare both movies, but I have to add some stuff.

NINJA ASSASSIN was done by the 87eleven stuntteam, which is one of the best teams for fightchoreographys on the market right now.

Rain is maybe new to movies, but in Speedracer he showed that he can act seriously .. and his fighting is very good ( a bunch of my friends were part in ninja assassin and they all trained with him and agreed, that it looks like he had done it for years). They didn't use any wires for the fights, at least not for fighting moves, but for falls etc.

I think its not fair to compare the movies .. and I have to say that I want to see both, couldnt decide which I prefer, but I hope that both will rock.

Hi to all Scott fans! (^_^) I just thought I'd post this link, it shows the training behind the scenes for the movie "Ninja Assassins".http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFZQi_HgzHI

But just to be clear on were I stand, Scott Adkins has my FULL support for his movie 100%! And no matter how good the training looks for the Ninja Assassins movie, Scott is still BY FAR better! And I know the movie Ninja is gonna be a MUCH better all around action movie.

However, I will give Ninja Assassins a chance. :)

welcome deelo79, i fully agree with you!! what we have to understand is the massive difference in budget. I dont think either sotry for both films will be anything exciting, but i think both films will impress within the fight area!! im hoping ninja will come out the best in the fight scenes! Give scott and isaac the same budget as ninja assasin and then we can do a comparison :)

To be honest...no matter how much budget you have and how any costumes look like a Ninja movie in 21st century is cheesy.....if you make amovie about the samurai time in Japan..well ok...but in todays world ninjas are cheesy...even in batman beginns...

BUT that is the whole point of it!! Ninjas have such a fictional cult that people love them....of course Ninja assasins will have a great budget and big fights and stuff...but it will be chessy aswell...

watching the little snippets with scott doing some sort of auerbach jump in the a rainy night on the streets in his ninja gear is just martial arts gold!!!!

No way any team work can overshadow the pure physicall ability of a man like scott...the fights in ninja assasin will be on top for shure...but Scott will still be the man and most awesome to watch leaving everybody with there mouth open....

I just hope the films push eachothers success and that we see booth in the cinema!!!!

I liked Masazuka's High Tech & Modern Ninja Suit over almost every old school version, including Casey's. Sorry but it was more realistic, as it incorporated armor, guns, night vision, he had small flash bang grenades and smoke bombs, ect and such into it which made him far more realistic and evolved. Where as the old school was well old school, and lacked all of the modern equipment but still bad ass none the less.
