Hmmm I wonder, will this be the best action movie in 2010...

Thanks so much for the find giangrosso. After seeing the leaked trailer I've been looking for the high quality trailer. Definitely downloading this when I get home tonight. :D

p.s. Can't wait to see Dolph fighting Jet on this one! The characters synopsis says that Dolph's character despises Jet's character so it'lll be interesting to see.

I've reposted the promo and The official trailer:

Promo trailer:

Official trailer:

Looks epic. Definitely one of my must see movies this year. Though I have to admit, they really should not have spoilt it by showing Willis and Schwarzenegger appear on the trailer (or better yet, it should have been a complete surprise cameo instead of it being all over the news before movie was even out!).
I think the trailer may gives people the wrong impression that Willis and Schwarzenegger have major roles in the movie, and those people may be in for a bit of disappointment (but not me, cause I already know its just cameo appearence for them)

well I think eventhough it spoiled much boxoffice wide it was smart to show them because it is the dreamcast for a scene everybody wanted to see for years...it is arnies first role after his short role in jacky chans 80 days arround the world and many want to see him again...so for all thoose who have no clue about this movie this will be a major attractionpoint!

and hell yeah sly rocks!!!

Isn't it that Arnie's term for Governor or California end at November this year? If I remember correctly, he's in his second term as governor and must step down when November comes - I really do hope he comes back into movies to do projects like future possible Expendibles sequel and predator sequels.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did, as he's a year your than Sly and he's still making action films. However, there's talk that Arnold may run for the Senate after his term ends.

I think it also would have been awesome to keep Arnold's appearance a secret until the day the movie came out, but seeing him, Sly, and Bruce Willis on screen together at the same time is one of "The Expendables" many strengths.

Also, something like that is probably to big to keep under wraps anyway. If Marvel had tried, I doubt they'd have been able to keep us from finding out that Robert Downey, Jr. would show up in "The Incredible Hulk", which would also have been a VERY nice surprise, but it's sheer awesomeness precludes whatever effect spoiling it may have. There was also talk that Edward Norton may appear in "Iron Man 2", although he's denied that. But then, maybe that's what they want us to think ;)

In conclusion, "The Expendables" is awesome.

We're not sure what has happened since last November (see here, here and here), but now Sylvester Stallone tells Empire magazine that another "Rambo" movie isn't happening after all.

"I think Rambo's pretty well done. I don't think there'll be any more. I'm about 99 per cent sure," he told the magazine in the latest issue.

So what will the almost 64-year-old actor concentrate on instead?

"We are very serious... we're already working on an [Expendables] sequel," he said.

He lined up quite a cast for the August 13 release. In addition to Sly, The Expendables stars Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, David Zayas, Giselle Itie, Charisma Carpenter, Gary Daniels, Terry Crews and Mickey Rourke.

It also features the much talked about cameo by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis.

source: The Shiznit

**: A little sad to see there won't be any more Rambo (although it may be for the best, to finish strong like he did for Rocky Balboa), but I am excited about the Expendables sequel! Scott should definitely give Sly that call now to be a part of it!
Question to you all, if Scott does take part in the sequel, should it be as one of the good guys (one of expendables), or the bad guys?

definatley one of the bad guys scott should go for as he can be more lethal and menacing! i always find villians the best characters to play as you have to be totally different and standout.

Yeah I'd like to see these guys in a expendables sequel as well, but it will not be possible for some of them:

Jean-Claude Van Damme : guess it all comes down to ego for him. If expendables becomes a huge hit, will he realise he made a big mistake and ask for a role?
Wesley Snipes : has tax problems, so can't leave US without court's approval
Steven Seagal : he hates Expendables producer Avi Lerner (bad history between them), and won't work on any film with Lerner on.

Jackie Chan : I don't know why Sly didn't cast Jackie in the first film (but I'm not complaining too much since there's Li). Sly's mother is a huge fan of Jackie, and Sly in his early films have worked on one film together with Jackie, and they're considered pretty good friends (although I'm guessing not to extend of Sly, Bruce, and Arnold friendship)

Donnie Yen : I know Donnie is preferring for Asia production than Hollywood films these days (actually come to think of it all his films are Hong Kong or Taiwan etc production films), but it would be great to see him in a role (his bad guy role in Shanghai Knights was great)

The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) : he's been in way too many kiddie films (family films) these days and needs to get back to action movies. Since Sly casted Austin for first film, why not Johnson for second?

Also, actors like Chuck Norris, Tony Jaa, Cyril Raffaeli, Marko Zaror, Lateef Crowder, Ray Park, Nathan Jones, Robert Maillet, Vinnie Jones (Nathan, Robert, and Vinnie I've listed to just add couple of the "big" guys)...... list can go on and on....

I second the Donnie Yen and Cyril Raffaeli suggestions. Been a fan of Donnie's for a while now and everything he does leaves me awestruck. Only found out about Cyril recently, and from what i have seen, he is definitely one to watch. Bummed that his project with Scott didn't pan out.
