Where you expecting Ninja to be The Dark Knight or something? The movie looks great with the budget that they had. Some people are just way to picky.

1) How i can expecting TDK, it's absolutely different levels(look at budgets) + i don't like TDK ;).

2) I expect the best martial arts movie of this year with great fights and with Scott - main hero.

Special forces was very stupid movie (it's more comedy, not serious action-movie), but Scott's part was ingredible. Ud2 has very simple script, which was repeated 1 million times before + some mistakes about live in Russian prison, but it was serious action-movie (ingredible fights and very charismatical characters) with a little dramatical elements. I expect Ninja will be next step up, and it will be looking like not DTV-movie (Ud2 looks more like movie for cinema, not DVD) and official pictures tell me that all my hopes may come true.

But videos dissapointed me. Trailer has ugly cgi and cheap's speed up effects. Trailer of Ud2 looks better (nice music, action-scenes without whires or cgi, etd)

I really hope, i will changed my mind after viewing whole movie or finished HQ-trailer.

I didn't notice any slo-mo/fast-mo effect in the rooftop fight that was just posted. I didn't see any epilepsy inducing fast cuts either. The rooftop fight clip represents the movie more than the trailer did, IMO. And one thing that I like about Isaac Florentine is that he doesn't overdo the fast cuts and the speed up/slo mo effects in his fight scenes.

In Ninja trailer you can see slo-mo and fast-mo (the second looks very bad). In Ud2 you can see slo-mo.

Yeah, but that's the trailer. I imagine the actual fight scenes won't be cut like that. UD2's slo-mo shots i didn't find distracting at all.

I like slo-mo in fights. It's look cool. So...it's never distracting me 8)

P.S. Scott tell in his message for fans: Ninja will be more realistic and we will see traditional japanese martial arts in fights....where is it? I did't notice these things in a trailer and fight :(

I wish I could be as objective as you are when it comes to the trailer but i didn't mind the fast cuts that I normally despise. I think it's because of the fact that I'm already sold in this movie right about the time it was announced. Just check my nickname and you'll know that I'm a nut for ninja action. heh heh. We'll just have to wait til it comes out so we can really decide what to think about the movie.

And on your postscript, perhaps other fight scenes will be more realistic.? I hope so, but I can't wait to see Scott execute those amazing flashy moves that he does so well.

Anyone know when they be announcing the release date?
