Yes but it's kind of stupid to put Jony Jaa on the front cover while his not in the movie! (just under the title performing an elbow strike).

i totally understand that movies like ONG BAK will be mentioned on the front cover. this movie and the cast is at the end of the day an unknown in germany. we can be very(!) happy that a indie-label like sunfilm released this movie finally in germany after 7 years since 1st releasedate in asia. i am thankful and happy. small labels (i worked for two of them on dvd releases) has to mention other big and known movies on the cover to sell their smaller ones to show what people can expect. without it it´s impossible to make the money back with this kind of movies. please respect that more, mate. |
I respect that, mate! But it's one thing to mention that it's in the vein of Ong Bak and totally different thing to put Tony Jaa on the front cover. Tony has nothing to do with this film at all! It's almost the same to put Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee or Jet Li on Tony jaa film cover. It's just stupid - they would have done a lot better if they had put on the cover a scene (Scott's kick for example) from Undisputed 2 (and write that it's in the vein of it)!
plus the same elbow stike scene was already on 2 Tony Jaa front covers - the German one for Tom Yum Goong (aka Revenge Of The Warrior) and the US one for Spirited Killer.

i know it looks weird but only insiders know it and care about it. the normal guy don´t care. i think snow in mexico in TS is the same thing. who cares as long it rocks, only hardcores like me and you.
but that is a typical happening for indie-label releases with low budget B-movies. i have seen things like that very often. for a donnie yen movie from the 90´s were used SPL killzone pix on the back cover in germany because they are more known and entertaining. that are the rules from the small labels that they don´t go bankrupt with their unknown genre movies. i can live with it because it´s still better than before we don´t have a chance to get movies like this released.
but on video.de an alternative cover is posted, maybe this one will be the final one. i will ask sunfilm now.

Actually, this movie is kind of old Bro. I've had this movie for a couple of years. Its called "C-3 Fighters" or "Extreme Challenge" and its a kick-ass movie but Scott has a very small role in it. The good news is that the one battle he has in it is awesome! Scott fights with nunchucks and in my opinion its one of the best if not the best nunchuck battle I've ever seen! Scott has epic skills with the chucks.
