On dvd 15th September

Amazon

I'm looking forward to this, in addition to Scott's Ninja, The tournament and Undisputed 3, and the new Tekken movie which is coming out this year(I'm a big Tekken fan - who else is a Tekken series fan around here?), and a new Motal kombat film coming out sometime next year.

Tekken:

Mortal Kombat:

Think this year is a great year for fighting/martial arts films.

Ha ha

MK has been in talks for years.....It needs to be good if they want to re-visit the franchise.

Tekken looks OK, but I don't know how they can stay true to the game and get all the characters in

I love Tekken and hopefully the movie will be any good. T6 looks awesome and it's must buy.

I've never been a fan of MK and i've always thought the MK franchise is worthless. On top of that Mink is directing the new MK which is even more worse.

One thing I'm really excited about the new Tekken movie is that its fights chreographer is Cyril Raffaeli (lead of District 13 series). He is one hell of a choreogrpaher.

There are some photos which are on a myspace page (somehow, the guy who runs myspace page has connections with someone in production), some of photos are fuzzy because they are taken from mobile(obviously some of the posters and pics are fan-made, but I think you'll be able to tell which ones are fakes).

However, for those who are curious:

About the story, not too sure how they'll be faithful to games, we'll just have to see.

Wow Great video - coming from Kimbo Slice, that's really something!

Did anyone see the variant trailer for Blood and Bone? While I really liked the vibe of the overall trailer, the part where Micheal jai White says "I am the punishement of God. God would not have sent me if he didn't mean to punish you" did sound a bit cheesy.

Also, an update on Tekken:

Luke Goss, who plays Steve Fox in the Tekken movie posted a comment regarding the movie on his forum:

http://www.lukegossforum.com/forum/inde ... ntry103939

While I'm not so sure about casting Luke as Steve(although they say they changed it so Steve's a bit older than he is in the games), I really liked his role as Jared Nomac in Blade 2 and Prince Nuada in Hellboy 2, so I have high hopes

Hmmm I wonder if this is THE ONE which features the most martial artists, MMA fighters in a single movie (looking through the cast list on imdb, it looks like it. Also one of the cast is the fight choreographer for UD3)

Another positive review on the movie:

http://martialarts.about.com/od/martial ... ndbone.htm

I'm guessing "method with which they battle seemed somewhat out of place in the story" is referring to the sword fight between Bone and James which was shown in the variant trailer?

Another review on Blood and bone:

http://www.fightticker.com/fightticker/ ... d_and_bone

"However, if you're looking for MMA-style fights, this movies won't give you that"

Hmmm I'm not too concerned because I'm looking for the general good martial arts fighting action in this movie (although MMA added in would have been nice).

The comment by the reviewer saying Never Back Down fight scenes are best MMA fight scenes to date is hillarious.

Clearly this dude has never seen Undisputed 2 or Flashpoint.

Never back down was a fun movie. Would have been cooler if it had 80's music instead of that hip hop crap. Ruined the training montage
